Registration for the National Capital 20 Miler and the Janet Braunstein 5 Miler races customarily opens each May, roughly four months before race day.
2022 Event Registration
Note: there is no race day onsite registration available. Our permit does not allow us to transact business at a National Park Service venue.
Timing and Bib Numbers
Bib numbers must be visible at all times during the race.
The race will be chip-timed using the Chronotrack chip timing system.
All runners will be given a net and gun time. Overall awards will be based on gun time, and age group awards will be based on chip time.
Registration fees are non-refundable, even in the event of race cancellation. However, we provide the following options:
- Request to switch from the 20-miler to the 5-miler race before packet pick-up.
- Transfer your registration to someone else. Transfers must be requested before packet pick-up.
- Registrants can always come to packet pickup to retrieve their t-shirts, even if they are not able to run.
