Elite Runner Entries
The National Capital 20 Miler is pleased to offer complimentary race entries for qualified runners based on past performances. Complimentary race entries are limited and are approved on a first come first served basis.
Complimentary entries are not offered for the Janet Braunstein 5 Miler. All 5 Miler participants should formally register for the event.
Male Qualifying Standards
- Full Marathon PR of sub 2:40
- 1/2 Marathon PR of sub 1:16
Female Qualifying Standards
- Full Marathon PR of sub 2:55
- 1/2 Marathon PR of sub 1:23
Application Process
Athletes who have met one of these standards within two years of the current event date should complete the Elite Entry Application for consideration.
The annual application deadline for the 2022 National Capital 20 Miler is the Sunday before the event date. However, runners should plan to submit their applications as early as possible after registration opens, because elite entry spots fill quickly.
Entries are limited to two male runners and two female runners on a first come first served basis.
