2023 GW Birthday Marathon Results

The results for the 2023 GW Birthday Marathon are in.

Christopher Collins took 1st place in an overall finishing time of 2:50:49.

Elena Makarevich was the first female finisher in a time of 3:12:09.

Team The Old, the Beautiful and Jack took first in the relay, finishing in 3:07:27.

Temperatures were mild, and the sun wasn’t too direct during the bulk of the race. Conditions were good overall, and the runners ran well, as always.

Congratulations to all of the finishers, and thank you to all of the race volunteers.

The RRCA Club Challenge 10 Miler is up next, on Sunday, February 26.

Joseph P. Fisher is the Executive Director of the Academic Resource Center at Georgetown University. Joe is a three-time Boston Marathon qualifier, and he is an RRCA-certified running coach. Joe has been a race director for the National Capital 20 Miler since 2017, and from 2016-2023, he was the Communications Director for Coach Kiprunning, owned and operated by Wilson Komen.
