2022 Bunion Derby Race Series

The 2022 DC Road Runners Bunion Derby Race Series will begin on Sunday, June 5. The first race in the series is the Women’s Distance Festival 5K and the Run after the Women 5K, which will be held in Arlington’s Bluemont Park.

The Bunion Derby Race Series is open to club members and non-members alike. All of the Derby races offer excellent training opportunities and enjoyable recreational experiences in equal measure. Runners of every experience level are welcome.

If you are actively training for the 2022 National Capital 20 Miler, the Bunion Derby Races can double as tempo run opportunities that will allow you to monitor your progress and guide your training.

Joseph P. Fisher is the Executive Director of the Academic Resource Center at Georgetown University. Joe is a three-time Boston Marathon qualifier, and he is an RRCA-certified running coach. Joe has been a race director for the National Capital 20 Miler since 2017, and from 2016-2023, he was the Communications Director for Coach Kiprunning, owned and operated by Wilson Komen.
